Recommend your video monitor

Some of you might remember that the monitor we used after Jonah was born stopped working after two months of use, and when we contacted customer service they were unwilling to refund our money or fix the product. So, now thath Jonah is 17 months, I've decided another monitor is in order. His sleep patterns have been changing and he's waking up a few times a night again, so I want to be able to watch him on the monitor. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance!

We have the Summer Infant Best View Color monitor and love it. It is really nice. I have been impressed with the picture quality and the battery life.

We have the Summer Infant Day Night monitor and have had no problems with it. The screen may be small but the picture is good and clear, and the sound on it is really good.

We have the Summer Infant Slim & Secure Handheld Video Monitor (with extra camera for another room); and, so far, we have nothing but great things to say about it.

Don't get the zopid. We love it for the camera, but the sound is awful. It doesn't do constant streaming of the sound, only picks up when there is a loud noise. We turn the volume off at night and use a second sound only monitor.

or

Summer's Best View Handheld Color Video Monitor (has a bigger LCD screen and pan/tilt/zoom feature)

We love it. We have used it everyday for 2 1/2 years.

We must have the same one. We are on our 3rd power cord. The first one I had to harass customer service since the wire was fraying and they finally agreed to send a new one. That one frayed on the opposite end and I ended up just buying a new one before DD was born. It works fine for us, but it's a little loud. I don't have a problem, but DH hates it! :-)
