So long story short, I POAS at 5 AM this morning at 8 DPO. For the record, I never POAS that early. However, I have a dr appt for a kidney infection today and nurse told me to since I am "late". So I did and it appeared negative in the nighlight ambience

When I got up at 6:45, I saw a very faint line. I assume this was an evap line. Since it was a pink dye  test, this should not surprise me. My hopes were up for like 10 seconds before I realized it. Anyone else had this happen? The practical side of my is saying, it was negative you early pee-er and the hopeful side of me said " Buy a digita! " I am sure they will do a UA today at the dr but it would still be too early. I guess I will just have to patiently wait and test again in 10 days. Anyone have any idea of how long it takes for an evap line to appear?

Re: Wondfo Evap lines
I think its anything after 5 MIn...you can always ask the Doc to draw blood if you are unsure, just to make sure in case anything they want to do with your kidneys may affect anything if your KU.
Good Luck
I'm super leery of the Wondfo HPTs now. A few months ago I got an evap line within the time frame. Subsequent tests proved to be BFN.
Last month I got the same thing on a couple of Wondfo's with subsequent BFNs.
I'm 99.9% positive they were evap lines b/c they didn't quite look right, even though they showed up in the test time. They looked like super thin, very light lines. I think I just got a bad batch of tests
Hopefully yours turns into a BFP -- it's still very early to be testing if you're only 8 DPO. Good luck to you!
Juliane - Yes, that's what I thought but I have tried to explain charting and delayed O in the past, to no avail. So I just did it.
chloebeth- I temped the first several months of TTC. We took a break for a little while. I have PCOS so my temps are all over the place at times. Then i lost my thermometer and just got a new one in the mail this week. Didn't want to start temping in the middle of a cycle. That is why I am a little worried because I honestly don't know what my body is doing as I have never had a positive OPK in the past and not temping didn't help this cycle. Add the metformin side effects, and I have had a rough, confusing cycle, thus the dumb question
