Beta 2....

Well i wish i had better news. Beta 1 was 200 and a p4 of 14.6. Beta 2 was 305 and a p4 of 34. So something doubled, just not the right one. He isnt sending me for another beta and scheduled the first ultrasound for 5/16. I wish i could be happy but i have no idea what is going on! He said it didnt rise to where he likes to see them rise (1/3) but went ahead and scheduled an u/s. So a little while later i called back and asked for another beta since the numbers didnt do what we wanted, maybe we could do one more. And he said it is unnecessary unless i start bleeding. And he told me more than once in our conversation that if i start bleeding or anything to call immediately. So now i feel like every time i use the bathroom im expecting to see the start of something.

This is a giant mind game and i dont know what to do with myself. Everyone is urging me to demand another beta. He seems like he's not going to budge. My husband now agrees with the dr and doesnt think we should do another beta and just wait until the 16. So here i am....just waiting.... Confused

Oh man T, I'm sorry you're kind of in limbo. I hate to say it but I might be tempted to call and say I was bleeding just to get in for another beta....

I hope there's a good reason for the slower rise, and that it's nothing of concern. I just wish you didn't have to wait so long to find out! Huge hugs babe, hang in there.

im afraid if i say im bleeding he will have me come in for an u/s to check the source and then find out there is nothing there...then im in big trouble. lol i dont know what to do with myself but limbo sucks.

Jez, I'm sorry your in limbo but try to keep thinking positive! I'm surprised your doc won't budge on a third beta but your number did go up, so don't lose hope. T&P for you! (((HUGS)))

Thank you! Thats pretty much what he said. The number went up, even if it wasnt as far up as they would've liked, but up is up. I dont know why he wont budge on it. I didnt get a real explination about why...its so frustrating. Maybe he doesnt do 3? This is definitely torture. I keep praying we will be pleasantly surprised on the 16th...

I'm so sorry you are in limbo over this. Do you have the option of getting a beta done on your own? I hope time goes by quickly and your u/s shows a growing sticky baby in there!

I am so sorry. Beta limbo is the worst. I am kind of shocked that he doesn't want to do another beta but I guess you need to trust him. Hopefully the u/s will be great news. ((hugs))

I'm sorry you're in beta hell It's so hard, but try to focus on the fact that it did rise and that your P4 doubled!

I'm sorry your in limbo land but, you Beta aren't that bad. Your doubling time is like 78.8. They normally like to seem them doubl every 72 hours so your not off that much. My Re won't even do beta unless there 72 hours apart. Good luck !!!

I am also surprised he wont do another one. Especially since it didnt do what he wanted it to do! Im definitely putting all my trust in him and hoping the 16th brings me good news! Thanks Reb!

I honestly dont even know what this means. I understand the math between the amount of time between betas, but is this a good thing? I mean, it didnt double so does it matter how many hours it was? I gave up trying to research it cause i didnt want to go crazy lol
