  It does take a while!  I sold some stuff at Outrageous Outgrowns a few years ago and you do have to start early if you have a lot of stuff.

  Once you get into a groove, it goes pretty quickly!  The "things" like strollers, gear, toys, etc goes way faster than clothes.
