you'll get something for mother's day? i'll be doing something (though i have no idea what) for my so for father's day. but i want someone (especially my so) to do something for me too!
Heh heh, I innocently said to dh tonight "hey, I didn't realize this weekend was mother's day"... he gave me the side eye and was like, "not *all* of us in this room weren't aware of that..."
LOL!
July 20th, 2012: Never forget the day the fb douchebags tried so hard, but ultimately failed. Viva la October 2011! Yeah, I called you douchebags.

I got my mom flowers today and she said, " soon you'll be a mother", and I told her I already was one, anyone who I would quit drinking for has to be special, lol

AND WINE.
I got a Mother's Day card from a co-worker who just recently became a mom herself. I was very touched.

My MIL gets me something from my dog every year. Last year it was a pedicure! She's really great about gifts, so I imagine our baby will get me a present via Grandma. I wonder if DH will do anything...

All of the above! I laughed out loud at this, my sentiments exactly! Especially since tomorrow is Cinco de Mayo and there are going to be $0.55 Margaritas at my favorite Mexican Restaurant. I have been craving one (or more) of those bad boys for a long time.
I also just pointed out the maternity pillow that I wanted to my husband...*hint, hint*
I am already a Mom and Monday is our anniversary so I will be sending myself an edible arrangement and have picked out a silver and diamond cocktail ring for MH to present me with when I get back from the out of town wedding he and E aren't going to, and that my mom booked me a room on the floor with the VIP lounge so I can have access to 24 hour food since I can't drink lol.

I actually asked my Dh the other day if he was going to get me something for Mother's Day and his reply was "your not a mom yet..." I was kinda bummed out by his answer - I already have something picked out to get him for fathers day.
I kind of have a feeling he was just saying that though - even though he was already thinking about doing something. He actually asked me a week or so ago when Mother's day was.
well, since last year our new washer was my mother's day *gift*, i am excited for this year!! DH told me last night we are taking a ride to our jewelers on Sat. and that i deserve something nice from DD and #2.......woohoo!!

My hubby just bought me new scrubs since I am growing out of the ones I have now. Its actually quite perfect! No idea what to do for him for fathers day.
I don't want anything. It feels like counting chickens to me--I'd rather just treat the day like any other day.
I'm actually a little worried because we are spending the day with my MIL and a bunch of DH's extended family and I don't want people to give me anything or make a fuss.

ITA. DH won't be getting me anything and vice versa for Father's Day. Until you have a baby in your arms, you are not a parent. A lot can go wrong between now and October and I'd hate to have a "Mother's" day card as a reminder if it did. I had a friend that had a loss at 38 weeks, and another that had a stillborn at 41 weeks so I guess I'm a bit jaded. Both had perfectly fine, healthy pregnancies until then.
Re: anyone else hoping...
I got a "soon-to-be mother" Mother's Day card from MH's aunt. I thought that was nice.
It was a good reminder for him, I hope.

Yeah, I kind of wondered if I'd get anything. It probably wouldn't occur to DH, but I bet my mom will get me something.
