They're awesome. The biggest thing - don't use a regular towel, use a micro-fiber towel or a t-shirt to dry your hair. Regular towels are like velcro to your hair.
I use the Pantene Curl Defining Gel. ?As long as I'm careful not to use too much, it turns out really well. ?And it's easy, since I just let it dry on its own afterwards.
I just buy whatever curl gel or mousse is on sale and try to switch it up every once and a while. I think I get better results if I don't always use the same thing.
I have short hair now, and it's more wavy curly than ringlet curly.

Pureology RealCurl Creme. I got it at the salon, but now I get it on ebay.
I did use Curls Rock but it made my hair too crunchy. My hair is chin-length. Any longer and it just looks messy because the weight pulls out the curl.
I use Herbal Essence or Suave shampoos and conditioners for curly hair
and only shampoo every other day (condition everyday) to help with the
frizz. Out of the shower I use Infusium 23 Frizzology leave-in
conditioner and then the Herbal Essence gel for curly hair. I let hair
airdry for about half an hour and then finish drying with a diffuser.
Then I mix a little anti-frizz cream (either Suave or Herbal Essence)
with some anti-frizz serum (currently using Garnier Fructis but think
it is a bit thick) and run through hair to tame the rest of the frizz.
Seems like a lot of product but it has really help keep the frizz away.

Re: Any curly-haired Mommies on?
I use the Panteen-Pro-V curl defining gel. ? (SIC) ?I just bought it and like it. ?Before that I just used L.A. Looks gel when my hair was shorter.
Back in the day, Mary-Kate and Ashley used to have this AWESOME textureizer that I loved and smelled great. ?Can't find it anymore.
?
I have more wavy hair, but it is half way down my back or so. ??

It doesn't matter what I use, the trick for me is to finger twirl my curls after I put something in it.
I use Suave mousse though if it really makes a difference.
Curls Rock is okay, but I started using this after a haircut at a spa and I love it.

Only problem is that its hard to find and Sephora only sells it online. I just buy a couple at a time to get free shipping.
I also use a small amount of Garnier Fructis mousse for curly hair (can't remember the name.
My hair is long.
Oh, and if you blowdry, using a diffuser makes a HUGE difference.
