Per this thread, we're hoping to condense a lot of the "gawker" threads into one! We thought this would make them more fun to browse and the board an easier read. We'll start a new thread every day to keep the list fresh.

Anyone is welcome to add to the post--local hospital names, the awful name you over heard at the park, Facebook horrors, and anything else that might give us a good chuckle! Feel free to comment, too.

    Friend of a friend on FB has a baby girl named Josslynn. Her daughter's name is LilliAnne, all one word with a capital letter in the middle. So there ya go.

    No, no the worst. I was just curious about the pronunciation.  I'm not a fan of smashed  names, smooshed names, or hypehnated but I could live with this one.  I can just see someone wanting to spell "Lillian" in a U-neek way using this and then getting offended when someone pronounces it "Lily-Anne", KWIM?

    There's a little girl at my daycare named La-ea. Pronounced....ready for it.... La-dash-ee-a.

    I met a Seslee once. ( all I could think of was cess pool for some reason and I don't think that when I see Cecily).  And I saw the name "Meave" on TV news. I was really hoping that  it was a typo but  I think it wasn't.
