WWDYT of Jamison??

Thought we had our son's name picked out, but now we arn't sure. We are now thinking about Jamison with the nn James or Jay

    A) You spelled it wrong, it is Jameson

    B) It is a pretty good whiskey, but it is an acquired taste

    C) Is your husband's name James, because that is the reason for the -son, he is James- son.

    Love the name, however, putting the "I" instead of the "E" makes it look feminine. 

    Jay is such a cute NN.

    My vote is for Jameson!

    I LOVE it.  I would spell it Jameson.

    It would be on my list, but it's very similar to my son's name, Tennyson.

    Made up name trying to be uneek. Both Jamison and Jameson (spelled properly) are horrible. Just name him James!

    It's not made up.  It's a surname, and a lot of people are naming their kids surnames.  You don't have to like it, but it's not made up.

    Actually Jamison is a surname as well.  Not trying to start an argument, but it is.  Antawn Jamison plays for the Cleveland Cavaliers.

    I like Jameson, but that is probably because I work with a guy in his mid-30s with this name, and he is great. As far as surnames as firstnames go, I think this one is actually pretty good.

    I have a friend named Jameson.  I think it's a nice name (spelled with an e).  However, if you're planning on calling him James IMO you should just name him... James.

    Actually, it's not.  My friend's last name is Jamison.  With an i.  Unless the family's last name is made up, too.  But I would think not.

    All of this.  I see this name and the #1 thing that I think of is whiskey.
