LO grunting in sleep

DS sleeps fairly soundly until about an hour before waking.  He will grunt, groan, stretch and wiggle about every 10 minutes, but his eyes are closed and he sleeps in between.  Is he just gradually waking?  Anyone else experiencing this?  It's so weird that his eyes are closed the whole time!  I usually let him go for a while before waking to feed so we can get more rest.

    mine does the same but he's trying hard to gets his farts out when he's doing it.  i too let him work on it for a little while before getting him up to feed.

    My DS does this.  He also does it when he naps.  I think it's just him not being in a deep sleep.  He also keeps his eyes closed the whole time.

    Same with my DS. Usually it's either because he has gas or because he's starting to think about waking up.

    Let's just say that my dad calls my LO "The Worlds Greatest Grunter". She does it all the time! :)
