The NT scan was this morning. Thank you all for your well wishes! The baby was moving all over and doing his/her thing, but apparently is a belly sleeper and likes to use the placenta as a pillow. They got the nuchal measurement which was 1.4 (very good!) but they could never get a profile shot to check for the nasal bone. They went ahead and did the finger prick and took blood and scheduled me back on Monday. Hopefully he/she cooperates on Monday because I will be 13wk 3 days and that's the cutoff. I'm glad I get to see the little stinker again though! The heart rate was good and she said all of the anatomy looked good for the age and I measured on track. We tried to get a shot of the privates but it's a shy baby, like it's momma (ha!).
I also spoke to the MFM doctor about what she thought I should do or have done differently to prevent a repeat and she suggested getting bi-weekly cervical measurements beginning at 16 weeks. I had already talked to my OB about this and he has agreed to start them at 16 weeks so I am covered there. Other than that she said there really isn't anything additional that we can do since we don't know a cause. She's confident that my risk isn't increased this pregnancy because of last time. It's always nice to hear that even if all the other docs have already told me the same thing.
All in all it was a good visit and hopefully the bloodwork comes back good and we will get a little cooperation on Monday.
Re: Once again, I have a stubborn child!
Congrats on a good appointment! I'm laughing at the stubborn part but at least you get to see him/her again!
Glad to hear there is no increased risk with the pProm! I can only imagine how nerve-racking it must be. I talk about this all the time that if I'm blessed enough to have another miracle baby that the whole time I'm going to be a mess - waiting for my water to break early again. Hang in there!!
Oh, heck yeah! The earlier the better!! I won't go out and buy paint, but I would just love to have at least a guess on what it is so I can quit calling it an IT.

Sounds like a good visit! It's just your chance to see your little one again
