Baby Names

Need input please

I'm trying to decide whether to use the name "Madison" for a boys middle name. It is my Grandpa's middle name, he passed away earlier this year, I would really like to name my baby after him... The first name would be Joshua after my DH... What do you think?

I think it would work fine. It would just sound like a surname... people may assume it's your maiden name. I think it's more gender neutral as a middle name than if you used it as his first name.

  • Hmm. I think of it as a girls name, but I like the family connection. If it was your grandfathers name and it's special, I say go for it.

  • I think that it sounds great - especially because you are honoring someone special to you.

I think its great.. Joshua Madison sounds really well together.  I would hesistate using Madison as a first name on a boy right now just cause of all the little girls around with the name or variant of it but as a middle name I think its fine
  • I think the names sound great together.  It's also a nice gesture.
