(I don't like making posts like this, but I feel the need to say something as this photographer posted on here a few weeks ago. That is how I got her information. I thought there might be others who are in the same boat as myself.)
Really long story short, I had an appointment with her on Saturday (scheduled 3 weeks ago.) I surprised my H by bringing him along to get professional photos of him and my LO before he leaves for 5 months. I based my whole day on this late afternoon appointment (moved my LO's MyGym class, put her down for her naps at certain times to be ready etc.) We stayed for an hour. She never showed. Eventually she wrote me an apology email that she "forgot" 3 days later, after I had emailed her twice.
Just learn from my mistake and research your photographer a bit more than accepting a post. It was dumb on my part, but I am still pretty bummed out about it. I no longer have a gift for H before he leaves... (Any last minute ideas would be great. I can't do online shopping as it would not get here on time.)

Re: Heads up on a photographer
that's horrible, I'm so sorry
can you take some pix yourself?
use paint to make a hand or foot (or both) print of your baby and frame that?
and then do another one when your H comes back and compare the 2
I've been having trouble getting in touch with her as well. We've been going back and forth for about a month to set up a date. Maybe I should just drop the entire thing....
What about Picture People? We have had some really nice pics done with their white background and black background and you can take the pictures home at the time of your appointment.
And, sorry about the photographer. She sounds way unprofessional.
That's so unprofessional. Sorry to hear that you won't be getting your photos.
I second Picture People, they do a really good job.
