Mine took a week off from work a few weeks ago and he:
- put up new trim in the living room
- put down the flooring in the baby's room
- assembled the crib
- moved the rocking chair and dresser into baby's room
- tore up the kitchen floor and completely replaced it
- replaced the toilet in our upstairs bathroom
- cleaned out a cubbyhole that hasn't been touched in years, sorted everything, packed the things we're keeping into bins, and put them back neatly into the cubby.
I was pretty excited to come home every night after work, and see what had changed!
Mine is doing crazy stuff... knocking down walls to make a great room, calling contractors to have the house exterior fixed/painted, order truck full of mulch to be delivered today, getting existimates on a new fence, etc.... I can't get him to stop. This is baby number #2 and he didn't act like this with baby #1.
psh I wish!! The other day he was going to go help a friend aroun d the corner put screen on his gate when he had a list of things to do at our own house. I kindly reminded him of the pictures that needed to be hung and he reluctantly did that but that's it. My DH is more on the "gotta get as much time in with my buddies before baby comes" kick lol
my dh was an energizer bunny this past sunday. i had a really bad stomach flu/bug saturday afternoon and i'm still dealing with it. he had to go away on a business trip and said he wanted to help me before he left. i'm definitely thankful since i still don't feel well...
Oh yes... he was just on spring break (teacher) and he had a whole page of projects to do. My idea of nesting = folding baby hats 2,000 times. His idea of nesting = demo, painting, doing plumbing, and yard work.

My hubby is a total nester.. he is either deep cleaning something, painting something, sanding something, building something.. he's all over the place all the time. It makes me feel somewhat lazy just because I don't have all the energy he does. Iol

Don't feel bad! It's nice to take a long preggie nap and get up to find something transformed that you desperately wanted done. I figure he can work hard now while I rest, because I'm sure I'll be up feeding at 2am soon enough while he snores away.

Yup but as he works all day, it comes out in projects for me to keep him happy. Hence the full room mural in the baby's room. If he can see progress he relaxes a little. That said he wanted to make a changing table and I had to prod him into working on it last night and not work on the boat projects instead. He is also the one getting cravings as well. We went out for chocolate cake last night because he wanted a piece for two days. He just uses my pregnancy as cover for his quirks.
Morning and night. I told him he's going to have to get another job if he keeps using those swiffer things! They are expensive and theres no need to swiffer the floor twice a day since we are hardly home anyway!

Um yes! And its almost worse than me.
I have noticed that he is more project oriented and I am more cleaning oriented in my nesting. Together we make a great team.

I'm losing my mind.
Every day twice a day......
Sweep.
Swiffer.
Mop.
