Minnesota Babies

Burley users

This might be a stupid question, but....I'm normally not a biker but my dad scored one of these at a garage sale for us and I'm kind of excited to take the kids out. My question is, do the kids wear a helmet in this thing? I am assuming yes? I have one for DD, but do they make them small enough for DS (7 months)?

Thanks!

Re: Burley users

  • yes. they absolutely need helmets. Go to a bike shop and try to get as flat of a back as you can for them to be comfortable.

But you can't bike with your youngest yet. They need to be at least year to be able to handle the helmet and the extra jostling of the bike.

  • We got one off Craigslist, but will be sitting on it for a year, because I didn't realize they had to be 1+. Whoops. I figured it was a like a jogger where they just needed to be able to sit up.

even joggers are later. BOB actually states 8 months and up for jogging.

  • It's a lot of fun, we have a solo and just had DS out in it yesterday for the second time this year...he fell asleep in it...I tell ya, that kid falls asleep in the strangest places, wouldn't have ever thought it'd be in the burley.

    Have fun!!
