We are officially a two car family! Yay! I'm so happy I could do a dance. Here's to our "new" 95 Cadillac, and never having to drive DH to work again.
PS: Holy crap was it ever a pain in the ass. We had to drop the car off for some repairs on Saturday, pick it up Monday and take it straight to be inspected, then I spent this entire morning going to the Tax Office, back to the car inspection place for a form they forgot to give me, 20 min south to another state office to get a copy of the title that I lost, then back to the freakin tax office to get the plates and registration. Charlie and I barely had time for lunch before we had to pick Leo up from school.
But it was all worth it because I'm freeeeeeeeee of a 30 min commute every morning even though I don't work and free of another 30 commute half of the evenings. YAY.
Re: After 6 years (and 1 very long morning)
Yeah. It's definitely run its course, lol!
We started sharing a car when we were both in college and didn't need to use it all that much. Then when we got married and moved here, for the first two years DH could walk to work. Now that we've moved further away from his job it's been a real trial. He carpooled for awhile but his carpool buddy's schedule changed a bit so it wasn't working as well as it did at first. This is going to be awesome. Can't wait to not be running out the door by 8:20 every morning so we can make it back up north by our 9am stuff going on every day
super cool!
I go cross eyed some mornings figuring out how to manage 2 cars but only one with carseats. Most days DH will give up and work from home!!
I'd go postal with just 1, so I am very very impressed!!
