Experienced my second loss late last week and am even more crushed than last time, hard to believe that is possible. I had been keeping quiet about this one after experiencing a loss in Dec. I'd really appreciate T&P for my family, DH and I are both having a pretty hard time with it. I think our next step needs to be seeing a specialist, we have no trouble "getting" pregnant, just trouble staying that way. Encouragement, empathy, advice appreciated.
Re: sadly I am now a two time loser
I am so sorry! I think I understand... I have had 9 pregnancies so far, and 6 have ended in some kind of miscarriage. It makes you scared to try again, scared to commit when you are pregnant, scared to even see facebook updates from pregnant friends... In my case, except for the two ectopics they didn't find a reason, and then we had Margaux, and now this new one.
I hope you get an answer, I hope you recover well, and I hope you never have to go through a miscarriage again. *hugs*

I'm so very sorry for your loss. I have experienced a miscarriage and they are terrible. I'll be praying that a specialist can help you and you can expand your family in the way you want. And as an above poster said...STICKY STICKY STICKY STICK!

In the meantime, give your body and heart some time to heal and mourn. Blessings to you both.
I am so sorry for you. Do you see a high risk Dr when pregnant?
No, I haven't in the past, and am VERY disappointed with the way things were handled (long story, but the short version is that we all knew things were very wrong Friday morning and instead of taking me through the clinic I had to go to the ER and spend EIGHT hours there, bleeding and crying and waiting). I have gotten referrals to a new OB and am researching them. A nurse friend I spoke to said I should have been followed more closely and maybe there was nothing anyone could do but at least I would have more peace of mind. I pray I will not have to repeat this experience, but if I do I also pray I will be in better hands.
Thanks to everyone who responded for your support, it means a lot.
Miscarriages are just horrible. I am so sorry that you have had to experience them.
I have had three miscarriages. My insurance would not cover the testing to find out why I was having miscarriages until I had my third one. Luckily, my ob/gyn is awesome and some how wrote up the paperwork so my insurance company approved the testing to be done after my second miscarriage. (While waiting for the testing to be approved and the results, which took a while, I had my third miscarriage.) Come to find out, I have a clotting disorder, MTHFR, and low progesterone. All that it took to treat both of these was a baby aspirin daily and progesterone supplements post ovulation to first day of new cycle, or 12 weeks into pregnancy. That was all...a stinkin' baby aspirin and progesterone supplements!!
I truly hope that you find a specialist you really like, and that they are able to find out what is causing you to miscarry. It is possible that the answer may be quite simple, and you'll be able to carry a baby full term very, very soon!
GL & best wishes!
I am so very sorry for your losses. The Miscarriage/Pregnancy Loss board really helped me through my grief and I consider many of the ladies I was there with as friends now. You might want to check it out.
(((hugs)))
I'm very sorry for your loss. I had 2 losses and went in for testing. Turned out I had low progesterone and a clotting disorder. As soon as I got a positive on a hpt I went into my re and started taking progesterone shots and lovenox. Then I got my Rachel. Maybe a check in with an RE might help you get some answers.
