Anxious about tomorrow

Tomorrow is LO's 2 month check up and not only are we starting vaccinations, the doctor is going to confirm that she's tongue tied and possibly snip her tongue.  I know everyone says it really doesn't hurt them, but between the vaccines and possible side effects and all the crying that is definitely going to happen, I'm so anxious!!

Any comforting words??

    Well, I never had to deal with the tongue tied thing, but my 2 month appointment experience wasn't all that bad.  Yes it is horrible seeing them get poked with needles and crying :( but mine only cried for a minute.  They seemed fine the rest of the day.  We took the double stroller out for its first ride at the mall after their appointment, and they slept the whole time we were there!  They were a little cranky the next day, but nothing unbearable.  I gave them Tylenol a few times, just in case they got fevers, but I don't think they ever did...

    We haven't had our 2 month but at 6 weeks he got his Hepatitis B shot and it wasn't as bad as I worried it would be. I gave him tylenol about 45 min before his appointment and then twice afterwards. He only cried for a second or so. I cried but I think that's normal.

    DD has her second hep b shot at her 5 week appt. Didn't even cry 30 seconds. I know there are more at 2 mo, but the crying won't last long, just be there to soothe.

    She will be fine!! I had DD tongue clipped and she definitely wasn't happy at the time she fell right to sleep in the car. I did cry though but I was 2 weeks pp so my hormones were wacky. As far as the shots I haven't gone through it with DD yet but as long as you are there to comfort her she will be fine and she won't remember it! It will be ok mama!

    Awe it will be okay, we took DS for his shots yesterday and although it was sad to hear him cry, once i nursed him he calmed down and everything was okay! I just held him and talked to him the entire time so he knew I was there, and lots and lots of cuddles! Today he is a little fussy but he seems to be okay, more cuddles today! I gave him Tylenol before his appointment too and it worked well.

    Just remember that you are doing the best thing for your little one and it is short term pain for long term gain! You're a good mama!
