Success after IF

Where to get toddler boy's sandals?

I am just not liking much of anything that's not $50 or more.  We will be in sandals until November.  Now I know they won't fit him for that long, that's why I don't want to spend a fortune.

A lot of the boy's sandals are fugly.  Help!

  • We found some leather ones at Stride Rite that were decent, but they were 45ish.

  • Is there a stride rite outlet near you?

I'm a kid's shoe snob and really want them in flexible soles when they're young so this is the one area where I splurge (or find what I want and then bargain shop it on ebay).

Our IF journey: 1 m/c, 1 IVF with only 3 eggs retrieved yielding Dylan and a lost twin, 1 shocker unmedicated BFP resulting in Jace, 3 more unmedicated pregnancies ending in more losses.
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.
  • I have gotten very lucky at TJ Maxx and Marshall's.  I found Stride Rite sandals there for half off retail.

I got DS a pair of PediPeds from piperlime for $30 but I don't think they have them anymore. They are brown fisherman type sandals and I bough 1/2 size up to last the summer.

  • I went to the Stride Rite outlet and got last years model for $30- I don't really like them, but he's not ready for anything less stable (flip flops, crocs)

LOVE the Keen sandals. Made very well and last a long time. Plus, if they get wet they dry very quickly.

I get them at Nordstrom's, but I just checked Zappos and they have tons (some even under $50)

See Kai Run has some of their sandals on sale on their website (www.seekairun.com - sorry I can't make it clicky). Looks like selected sizes are $28.50.
  • Another vote for Stride Ride here. I also don't mind splurging on his shoes, especially since these help him trip alot less.
