anyone using the munchkin mesh feeder?

we got this as a gift; some mom said it was the best thing ever. essentially it's a little mesh bag with a handle, and you put some type of food in it and baby eats it, with less risk of choking because they can't really bite into it. it says 6 mos on it but my mommy-n-me class girls said they're using it already. anyone else?  was thinking of trying it today but not sure what to put in it. frozen banana? just wondered if anyone's using and if your LO likes it.

  • I put pieces of frozen BM in it and use it as a teether.  Works great!

  • At our last parenting group meeting the topic was feeding. The guest speaker was a nurse and she was great. She recommended these and said they're great for stuff like frozen banana (but not ice due to risk of frost bite) especially during teething because it helps soothe their sore gums. We bought some but haven't tried them yet.

  • J just turns it around and chews on the handle.  feeder fail.  He doesn't like the mesh on one of his toys either.

  • DS LOVES his. We put a couple chunks of bananas in it (not frozen) and he obsessively chews on it until there is nothing left in it. It does make quite the gooey mess but I figure most self feeding DS does will make a mess anyways.

  • I forgot all about these.  I've seen them in the store but figured I'd pick up some later on down the road, but sounds like their already a hit!  May have to invest in some soon.  My LO loves to chew on everything, I bet he would love these

LOL! OMG, I know the color is great right? It was frozen plumb babyfood that he had been working on for quite a while.

lol oh my... these are priceless.

  • We've used ours. LO loves watermelon in it. He get's so excited he bounces his legs and reaches for the feeder. We've also put avocado in it and while it doesn't get the same excitement, he was still into it.

Today we tried pear chunks and he was not impressed. :)
