I am hoping to get some recommendations for a nursing moms group in the DC area. My husband and I will be relocating in the next couple months and I'm devastated about leaving my current group! It's just such a helpful resources to be surrounded by nursing mammas and their babies once a week. Sharing stories and frustrations and successes is so fun!
Thanks!

Re: Moving to DC-Nursing Moms Group?
Depending on where you'll be living in the DC area.... I went to the breastfeeding moms group at Arlington Hospital, and it was great. The leader is awesome, and I met some of my now closest friends there! It meets on Wednesdays at 12:00. They also have a working moms breastfeeding group every other Sunday at 7:00 pm.

I was apart of one at the hospital where I delivered my DS up until he was 8 months old. I would check with the closest hospital to where you will be living. Maybe give the birthing unit a call if you can't find any information on their website.
The Breastfeeding Center on K St is awesome and I'm pretty sure it has meetup groups (Tuesdays and Thursdays, maybe?)
La Leche League has a lot of groups in the area as well if you are interested in doing that. I have had a lot of luck at the Old Town Alexandria evening meeting (I think the 3rd Wednesday night of the month). I would check out the La Leche League website and see what is around you.
Good luck!
