    I'm too south for northern but not south enough for southern, lol! Just south of San Jose

    That's closer...I didn't even realize there were "local" boards.  I'm usually on 3-6 month or SAHM board.

    At some point there was a Ukiah gal here.  Not sure if she still lurks.  I think the highest population of "North" is Sonoma/Lake Counties.  But don't shy away if you're further there's lots of experience and various views here - an incredible resource.

    My Mom grew up in Eureka and I've still got some family & cousins who live there.  I visited often as a child, but don't make it up as often as I'd like to much anymore.

    I'm in Chico but in the last two months or so I've seen 2 people post about being in Humbolt Co. and then when there aren't others they never seem to post again, maybe they are out there lurking and will chime in.  My Grandmother lives in Arcata and my mother recently retired and moved up there to live with her (she's 97) so we're up there fairly often.

    I hope you stick around, it's a great board.

    I'm in Santa Rosa, northern but not that far north.  I agree with J, there have been a couple posts from gals in Humboldt Co lately, maybe they'll pop on later and reply.

    Thanks ladies! I'm originally from Redding and we hope to move back there soon - I've been here 5.5 years (and I'm done lol)  DH was born and raised here soooo....we will see!

    My sister lives in Cottonwood. It's a nice area, a little slow paced for me but Redding is a ton different, more city(ish). It's just too hot for my liking up there
