Can I use a bottle warmer with Playtex Drop-ins?

I just this minute ordered a new bottle warmer (thanks for the suggestions yesterday), and then I unpacked the new Playtex Drop-ins we bought at the store yesterday in our continued effort to help DD with her stomach issues. . .

and in reading the info that came with the bottles, I can't tell if I can use them with a bottle warmer!  It says to not use with boiling water (only the nipple and lid can be boiled) - and, while bottle warmers do use boiling water, I suppose, I wouldn't think it's the same as submerging in a pot of boiling water on the stove. . . but I sure don't want to risk it and have the liner explode!

Ditto. We used drop-ins at daycare and they couldn't put them in the bottle warmer.

They'd microwave a mug of water until it was warm (not boiling) and put the bottle in it to warm.

  • No, we weren't able to use a bottle warmer.  At home and daycare we would heat a mug of water and use that to heat up the bottles.

  • Our daycare puts them in a bottle warmer.  There are two kinds of bottles.  One is a thicker one that can go in the warmer without an issue.  The other is more hourglass shaped and those will melt!

    This one doesn't melt

These will melt so only warm in hot water

  • Grrr!  What a p.i.t.a. in the middle of the night!

(Plus, now I either don't use the bottles, or return the warmer I just bought - my luck!)
