I did the same protocol and before and got my BFP with my twins. I took 4 vials of bravelle plus 2 Menopurs then added Ganirelix after a few days. I got 5 eggs and all 5 were mature, all 5 fertilized. I got my twins and have 3 frosties. I am doing the same thing now but am adding clomid too. I'm not OOP but I am cycling now.

Hi Jackie, I am doing a similar protocol this go around but instead of clomid, I will be doing Letrozole. I've been trying to google information on this type of protocol and I am finding very little. If you don't mind me asking, why was this protocol (using the clomid) chosen for you? When during the cycle will you be adding in the clomid?
From everything I read, letrozole or clomid is used with patients with pcos or good responders with a low stim. I am neither and will actually be on high stims. Just wondering what you know about it.

Yeah..I googled like crazy to find a similar protocol or the reasoning behind why my RE suggested clomid but I couldn't find anything. I did see it used for mini-stim protocols and got worried but since I'll be using FSH too, I'm not too worried.
I went back and asked my RE and he said he's adding the Clomid to see if we can get a few more eggs than last time. I'm a poor responder to FSH so he thinks the different chemicals in the Clomod might be the added "kick in the butt" that my ovaries need to wake up.
I'm not certain when I'll take the meds. My clinic is a little "fly by the seat of your pants" and they judge everything off the CD2 B/W but I believe that I'll take 150 mg of clomid on day 2-7 and will stim from day 2-?.
PM me in about a week to see how it's going.

It sounds very similar. I will be taking the Letrozole from day 3-7 and adding in the fsh on day 5. At least I think thats the way it goes. Followed shortly thereafter with Menopur. I believe my RE may have chosen Letrozole over clomid since I have endo.
No, I'm not in Philly. I go to Johns Hopkins in Baltimore but I travel for work and Philly is in my territory so I do need options for clinics where I can do satelllite monitoring. Who's your RE?

The cycle I did ivf in Feb/Mar was with SIRM NJ. This go around will be with Abington Reproductive medicine. Not sure if York, PA is in your territory, but I know that the Fertility of Center of York will do monitoring appts. I had my last AFC and sonohysterogram done there and the ordering physician was from SIRM.

I recently asked this board and the PAIF if they used this protocol and I know that Patchens had success with a Clomid/antagonist cycle. Here's the link https://community.thenest.com/cs/ks/forums/thread/52550330.aspx
We are fairly close to each other, you wouldn't by chance be seeing an RE in Philly?
Good luck, I'll be watching for your updates!

Yes, except instead of the menopur, I will be on Luvaris. I am also OOP and I will hopefully be starting in June.
