Any teachers/professors/recent graduates out there know if you can recycle textbooks? And if so, where? I have a bunch of old editions from the past 3 years of law school that I would prefer to not look at anymore.
Thanks!

You might try to sell them on ebay if they are recent editions. I know my students tend to look for used books places like amazon and half.com and ebay so they don't have to pay bookstore prices.
Thank you - that's what I normally do, but some of these books are from 2008 and 2 new editions have come out since then so professors aren't using them anymore. I think I've sold everything that I can.

Ha! That is so funny because I was wondering the same thing. B has a few textbooks from college that are virtually worthless (like $.30) on Amazon, but I hate to just throw them away. I put them in our paper recycling bin, but I guess I should check and see if that's even ok.

I was at the library (in Forest Park) this past weekend with my mom and noticed they had a huge bin that you could put used textbooks in to donate. I didnt really look that closely to see what they do with the donated text books but at least it wouldnt be throwing them away. I dont know if every branch of the Cincinnati Library has this but it might be worth calling around.

That's the best idea I've ever heard - you must have gone to law school.
And judging my your screen name, I would venture to say that you did.
