I really had no indication but if I had to guess I would have said the baby was a girl. But much like his older brothers, this baby was NOT shy at the ultrasound this morning. As soon as she went to that area I knew... another boy.
Baby was otherwise VERY healthy looking so nothing to be sad about. But DH and I both took a little time to admit we both really wanted a girl since we know this is our last.
However, I love my two boys and love the idea of a third.
Now... TIME TO SHOP! I need lots of new stuff including beding and an infant seat. Woot!
Re: Haven't been here much but I know the gender...
I can completely relate! I have three boys (6, 3.5, & 2). When we were pregnant with #3, we desperately wanted a girl. I actually cried after my anatomy scan because I knew that he was our last and that I wouldn't ever experience having a daughter. DH was disappointed, as well. We took time to be sad, but then picked ourselves up and decided to focus on the positive. Our third (son) is the sweet angel of the family. He has been a complete joy since the moment he entered this world. He is easy going & pleasant all the time. We are thankful every day for him!
After DH #3 turned one, we got rid of everything "baby". We decided not to have any more children and didn't have room to store all of the infant stuff. I had lots of fun giving stuff to all of my girlfriends who were pregnant.
I'm telling you all of this because almost exactly a year later (minus a month or two), we got a HUGE surprise. We are expecting baby #4...a GIRL! We didn't plan on having another baby, but are thrilled to finally be getting the little girl that we so desired. It's funny how things turn out. So...you just never know!!
Happy shopping! I'm right there with ya!
Yay for boys! This is my first (& last) boy & I must admit shopping hasn't been easy. I'm so used to dressing & buying for girls.
This LO is the first boy in my immediate all female family!
Yay Congrats on a boy!
I'm jealous... I really wanted a boy. I hate girl clothes, it's about impossible to find anything NOT pink, and it all looks like frilly crap. I keep imagining what it's going to be like for the next 18 years trying to find clothing/toys that don't objectify my child or emphasis "pretty" over "substance".
Boys get the coolest clothes/toys.
