Omg did anyone see the stepdad one today? This situation is so sad! I grew up in a home where my stepmom and I couldn't seem to get along but it never got that bad with us ever!

Watching it now and I'm only 6 minutes in and OMFG. That guy looks like a total prick. It hurts to hear the hurt in that girl's voice.

Oh I am glad you agree! I think I am most mad at the mom. As a single mom I would never put up with my husband treating my daughter that way. Even if she is a brat its still the mother fault, she didn't just become spoiled overnight.

Word. It's the mom's job to protect her child no matter who it is that's attacking her. I can't believe how childish the stepdad is behaving. He's the adult and he needs to behave that way! Obviously I've never been in this situation but I canNOT fathom a mom actually feeling torn between choosing a man she married and her own child. I feel mentally and emotionally exhausted listening to them scream back and forth like that.

This. I was also yelling at the tv b/c the dad was such an a$$hole! I was pissed with her mom b/c she was saying nothing the whole time. My questions were how does he treat the other kids, why does he keep making the distinction of my step daughter, how in the world did it get to the point it was at without the mom saying something? It was so frustrating for me. I wanted to write Dr. Phil a letter to vent. ( I do think my hormones have something to do with this rage somewhat).

I also found it so absurd that he was offended and didn't agree with him having to be put on that li he situation! I am glad he is on that list. What if he were to remarry would he be this same way to their kids? Its a warning. Also what if something more happened and he did physically abuse the daughter atleast she would have that to help prove her point. I hope the little girl goes to that boarding school Dr. Phil was talking about. It would be the best thing for her!!
