For the few of you who read my vent last week about the big spider in my basement which disappeared before my DH could get him... he's back... and he's almost made it to the top of the stairs... AAAAAAAHH! I haven't gotten the raid yet and DH isn't here to get him! I shut the basement door and stuffed a blanket under it to hopefully keep him down there. I hope he's still in the same spot when DH gets home so I can stop being so scared of our basement! Anyone want to come over and take care of this guy for me? lol. It's crazy that this spider who is 100+ times smaller than me can paralyze me with fear... but he does! Here's a photo...
Re: f/u spider in basement... he's baaaack ? PIP
I will come and kill it for you if you want me too! Jackson is napping now but we can come over later if you want
Almost two years ago, I confronted one JUST LIKE THAT, which had perched itself right next to our garage opener key pad. I blasted it with some kind of aerosol bug killing spray, and I SWEAR it screeched at me and jumped 17 feet onto the sidewalk. Even though I never found its body, I have to believe it is dead or else I would've likely packed up my family and moved.
Sounds good - we'll be over as soon as he wakes up.
Ewwwww.......
Within the last few weeks, the wolf spiders (which I think that might be) have been hosting a convention at our house. I have to peak inside every shoe before I put it on.
Hope you can bid that sucker farewell today.
Update - Mr. Spider has gone MIA again. We went over to raid his compound but he wasn't there anymore. Word on the street is that he is holed up in Pakistan at Osama's house
hahahaha!
yes, kristin came over and was ready to take care of it, but the spider has eluded me again! I was thinking of putting a cup or bowl over him, but he was right up against the wall and I wasn't sure I could do it with him in that position against the wall, and i was worried about him jumping out at me!
Holy effing crap. Wolf spider, my @ss. That is tarantula-like and completely unacceptable. Do you live on the west coast, because I KNOW spiders that big DO NOT live here. I have the heebie jeebies right now.
And Kristin, you are a complete saint for going over to kill that. I live in Monroe, but I'd absolutely pay you to come be my spider killer if one showed up that big and DH wasn't home.
::backing out of post to grab my can of spider killing spray::
