They say animals can sense things and I'm wondering if my cat knows that LO will be here soon? She has been super affectionate these last few days and now she is sleeping on my hospital bag, which she has never done before.
Are anyone else's pets acting funny?
Re: Cats acting funny
Absolutely! My cat never slept with us before I was pg. Then she started sleeping by my legs at around 15 weeks. The past week she has insisted on sleeping under my arm right by my chest. She's also super affectionate and crying for no reason. It's pretty cute.
My dogs have also sensed something is up. They will sit at my feet while I'm writing a paper and just cry, even when I'm paying them attention. We started giving them more play time and separate cuddle time and they have been better. It's also helped to go sit in the nursery for at least an hour a day and let them play in there. They seem much more relaxed.
I am so excited to see how everything will be when we get home with a baby!
My cats have always enjoyed watching the birds (and I know my female cat has caught one - so now they generally have supervised outside time (we have a fenced in yard)). But, they've never been teh kind of animal to bring you "presents" and twice in the past week my male cat has brought me live, perfectly healthy birds. He carries them in, sets them down to meow for my attention - and they fly away - away into my house.... joy. Both times we've successfully gotten them out of the house, and they've flown away. Now I watch the d*mn cats like a hawk because I don't want them to hurt the birds!
He's also been overly can't get away from him affectionate towards me, but its only the male cat. My female cat has always had the princess attitude, and that hasn't changed!
