Multiple BM's (Of course, TMI, but what else is new...)

So I've been going quite regularly since last Thursday.  Good BM's - not small ones that seem to take a lot of work with nothing to show.  (Y'all know what I mean!)

It's nice to be going, but I was walking at the track and had just finished 3 miles when it hit me that I really had to go.  I barely made it to the rest room.  This is the fifth day in a row!  I was excited, but also trying to hurriedly walk to the restroom to avoid an accident.

I hope this means the constant, disgusting gas will leave me for a few days, but I guess I shouldn't complain about being regular.  I guess I expected to become more constipated as the pregnancy went on since the little one is growing and pushing more on the digestive system, but I'll take whatever BM's I can get.  Even if it means running quickly to the bathroom.

By the way, this is the second time I've been at the track and it hits me, so I do like that the exercise is helping me out and that the restrooms are conveniently located.

Anybody else get this excited about regular BM's?

With DD I became regular (Now I've never been regular even when not pg) so this was a strange change for me..and it was like twice a day..with urgency like you..

Also everytime I had to go I'd get a lot of gas pain..it sucked..

Sadly I am not regular this go around but I've invested in my raisin bran and such to help..

I remember just having ONE activia when not pregnant and going on a daily basis..it wasnt fun..I went back to my every other day or so just because I wasnt loving the BMs..now I think I need to go get some activia!

  • I was doing well for the first 3 months... and now it is totally irregular. Im lucky for every third day or so and I find it very yucky and frustrating. I blame my weight gain on the lack of BM's :)!

I eat Fiber One cereal, the type that gives you 51% of your daily value of fiber.  I think it's 51%...it's the highest I've found out of most cereals I think I would like.  I also eat yogurt almost everyday; I probably skip yogurt on the weekends.

I don't have gas pains that often, but the gas is baaaaad.  It doesn't help that I usually have  a serving of broccoli at lunch.

  • I've wanted to post about this but been too embarrassed! I have never been the most regular lady, usually every couple of days. But this pregnancy seems to be the same thing - every day, sometimes more than once a day! And ditto the awful gas pain around it...whoops. I will say that this was not at all the case during the 1st tri, I was loving on the prunes then. But 2nd tri has been all about the poops. Go figure, the funny things our bodies do, huh?

  • I get super pumped up about frequent bathroom visits.  I call these experiences "worldchangers."  As a former constipation queen pre-pregnancy, I was so fearful it would only worsen.  I joke with my hubbs that this is definitely his child.  HA!

I remember reading a thread on the Nest called something like "Tell me All the Nastiness of Being Pregnant," and I distinctly remember many ladies saying "coke can size poop," so I am always fearing that and so thankful for it not occurring!  It sounds sooooo painful.

And yes, "worldchangers" is a great term to describe the bathroom visits!
