I have been redirected from the Infertility forum, since I am new.
DH and I have been TTC for more than 1 year and are in early stages of appointments with our Na Pro Technology doctor (fertility specialist). We are teachers of NFP, but a different method than is used by NaPro, so we are currently learning/charting by the Creighton Method which is more specific for those who are TTC and with IF. I am interested in hearing from others and sharing about the journey to pregnancy/parenthood including all aspects of TTC, except for IVF. IUI is possibility, if it is recommended in our case, which we don't know yet, but only if this can be performed with semen taken from a natural act of intercourse from a perforated condom (so as not to render the act immoral). I would also be interested in hearing about the emotional side of things, as well as the moral implications and the virtues that are developed in ones' soul through the process.
I would like to more specifically discuss the field of medicine known as NaPro Technology as it relates to infertility. It has a higher rate of success in leading to pregnancy overall than IVF, but I have found that whenever this topic is mentioned over at the Infertility forum (by previous posts from others and by me), that there is a knee jerk reaction that I would describe as bullying. It seems that The Bump could easily create a new forum such as Infertility and NaPro Technology. If not, where should I make a post on the topic?
thanks and best wishes to all you ladies!
Re: redirected
I am afraid I dont have an answer for you about where to post about NaPro Technology, but just wanted to welcome you. My husband and I used the Creighton method to help us concieve. I have not talked to anyone on the bump yet about it, but IRL I have had some people cringe when I mention it. Personally, it helped me to know my body better and we got our beautiful girl out of it! Good luck and best wishes to you!!
Thanks for your kind welcome!
That is wonderful that you conceived your daughter after charting with CrM. What a blessing, congratulations! I see that you are in Omaha, so perhaps you have had an appointment with Dr. Hilgers?
My NaPro doctor is in Central Calif and about an hour drive from where we live. She is fantastic, and I trust her. She is not an OB/Gyn, however, so I'll have to ask her for a recommendation on that, since we are new to Central Calif., anyway.
Enjoy your little one and best wishes.
