Teacher Appreciation Week 2010: 3rd ? 7th May

I'd like to get something for Evan's teachers, but I'm not sure what to get them. We did gift cards to Target for Christmas. Since he has 3 different teachers I wanted to do something small for each of them. Any suggestions?

If you are a teacher - what would you appreicate the most?

  • I am a former 1st grade teacher but now a SAHM. I've had some parents get me gift cards to chickfila (which I frequent often), movie theatres, clothing stores and when I was pregnant last year gift cards to marble slab! Gift cards are always appreciated, but I even had a few parents write me really nice letters which were very much appreciated too.

I know its hard when you have so many teachers to think about.

  • CFA gift cards are a good idea.  Especially if they have kids also...lol.  What about flowers or a plant? Tea's or coffee? We're actually doing a breakfast for the teachers at our school.  With people bringing various breakfast items.

  • Breakfast places are great (if you wanted to go gift card route). Or you could even tell them you'd like to bring in breakfast or lunch one day. I LOVE when my parents do this. Or even Sonic drink. Seriously the best. Or maybe if you've got a fun cupcake or dessert place by you. On my my parents brought us Oohh LaLa dessert last week and it was a fantastic treat.

This week my school did a little suggested type gift for each day. And then each grade level parents are providing a treat throughout the day. (now I work at a school with a VERY active PTA). Today we got flowers from the kiddos and then in the teachers lounge we got Chips & Dips. Yum!
