I'm 24 weeks and for almost 10 weeks I have been itching like crazy in my Gyna area. Its so bad that I seriously bleed almost every other day. Its not a yeast infection or a STD (gross) we found that out. Its so painful though. Taking baths help but I go through liners like crazy and the itching comes back ASAP after the bath. I can only have sex in the bathtub now any other time Im to itchy or rip. Sex will soon be gone once I cant fit into the tub with hubby : ( Anyone else having this ugly side of pregnancy? : (
Its GROSS!

She told me not to use a yeast cream. I tried to use baby powder and AHHHH it burned like hell. I dont know about the cool compress havent tried it. I'll have to try that. I have two school age children so i will try it when they are in school tomorrow. Thanks
Whoa. That sounds crazy. Is it painful because you are itching it? What if you have crabs?!
ETA: Sorry, that sounds really rude, and I'm sure you'd know if you had crabs. After reading below comments, I could see how the temperature or change in weather paired with other variables such as soap, etc., could totally make you itchy too!

I use diaper rash cream when I wear a skirt simply because my thighs rub together so bad and the sweat that accumulates down there while I walk around (not to mention vaginal discharge) that I actually get a rash all in that area and down my inner thighs (and no, I'm not a big girl, I just walk with my legs close together). The diaper rash cream helps.
Maybe I'm just being dense, but has your doctor actually checked you for a yeast infection/STD? It certainly sounds like all the hallmarks of a yeast infection.
And assuming he/she has, how does your doctor suggest you treat this?? I certainly would be asking some pointed questions if I was in that much discomfort.
I hope you find some relief soon!
If the doc has ruled out a yeast infection and stds they need to look further into it. Thats not a symptom one can live with!
Wash your panties separately with a gentle detergent and no bounce sheets or fabric softeners. That may help?
Thats exactly what it feels like. I have had two and its that overly senstive feeling. Ill have to ask my doc if witch hazel is ok during pregnancy. IDK.
I will have to change the underwear I wear as well. I go In on the 10th and maybe she can answer more questions for me. I know its a heavy discarge but it was ruled out yeast/std. The bath helps. I use antibacterial soap and maybe that has alot to do with it. Im very picky about soaps but I might have to try changing to something more gentle while Im pregnant.
Never used the diaper rash creams just powder. Powder Burns. Ill try that. I live in a very humid place so it gets nasty. You sweat when you walk out the doors. This is however the fist time I have been this far along during the summer months. Its not FUN!
Thank you ladies. Im writing down the advice and taking it to doc so we can narrow this down. I cant last another 15 weeks like this!
