DH is convinced based on my aggressive symptoms that there is more than one raspberry in my tummy. I, however, am not so sure and we don't have an u/s for 3 weeks. My doctor did say it was possible and will be looking for this in the u/s.
Did anyone think it as more than 1 before knowing? What triggered your thoughts? When was it confirmed?
Re: when you first "knew" or "thought" it was multiples
If you would have told me before my 1st U/S that I was having multiples, I would have laughed in your face.
I had no clue I was having twins. My symptoms weren't very strong compared to some. I don't think that having two babies necessarily makes your pregnancy issues twice as bad.
I still didn't quite believe it until after I'd had the c/s and I was being rolled back to the recovery room with a baby on either side of me.
Unable to even.

This. I'm still in disbelief sometimes that I've got two. And then they both start crying.
after my high betas from an IUI with 4 follicles, lol! I was relieved it wasn't more than 2!
After 2 years, Injects, PCOS diagnosis and 2 IUI's, we were blessed with our beautiful twin girls!
Baby Girl #3!
I barely had any symptoms before finding out. I had two weeks of nausea (no vomiting) around weeks 6 and 7, then found out at 8 weeks during an ultrasound.
Even now, I've only thrown up once, and it's mostly just been heartburn/reflux/fatigue.
I have less symptoms than most people with singleton pregnancies.
My SIL was telling me for 2 weeks before I had my 1st OB appt that we were having twins. I told her she was crazy, but the thought had already crossed my mind, for whatever reason. My SIL had no reason to even suggest it was twins--there's no family history. I was still completely flabbergasted when my OB brought up two little beans on the ultrasound at 6 weeks
.
In our case, we had fewer viable follies this time around than we did with my first pregnancy (in '06), so we didn't expect to have multiples. After we got got a positive HPT, we waited for the beta a few days later, and it was 3-4 times higher than the beta for my first pregnancy, but as it's been said on this board before, betas are not always indicators of multiples.
Anyway, I did have more "growing pains" and m/s than when I was pregnant with my daughter, so it did cross my mind that it could be multiples.
I had zero symptoms. I bled and had an early u/s to rule out miscarriage at 6 weeks. Otherwise I wouldn't have found out about my twins until the anatomy scan at 18 weeks.
Every pregnancy is different. Some MoM's have tons of symptoms and some, like myself, have none. Just like every singleton pregnancy is different. Good luck at your u/s.
I had early symptoms (9-10DPO) and got a + HPT @ 11DPO at night... then the beta... it came back high and right in line with twins.
When I had the 1st u/s at 6ish weeks... I wasn't shocked (well I was... but I susspected)
