PSA: Seven Slings, Udder Covers, and a question

I just got an email that at sevenslings.com and uddercovers.com, you can use the code "FIT" today and get one free (plus the cost of shipping). I already got an udder cover a few months ago.

2nd time moms--is there any need for 2 udder covers? Also, what have you heard about Seven Slings? Is it worth the cost of shipping?

  • I'm not a 2nd timer, but every time these deals are posted, people come out of the woodwork to say that they're poor quality and not worth the shipping you have to pay for them.  I can't speak from experience though--this is just what I've heard.

The uddercovers, I've been rec. by a few friends with kids who say they do a great job, so I'm fine with them. But as for the slings, I'm not surprised. They look pretty basic and thin. Although I've heard some people say for a back up sling or to throw in the diaper bag, it's a good idea. Hoping some second timers will help a sister out (again!).

  • I got this deal a couple of months ago...I wasn't too impressed with the udder cover material, but the sling seems to be a really nice strong fabric.  I obviously haven't tried it out, but as far as being able to tell how good it is at this point, it is pretty nice!

  • I ordered both the sling and the cover the last time they came out with this deal. I didn't think they seemed that bad when I got them...but then again I haven't "used" them yet. I think the prints are adorable! I guess I'll find out in September when I get to use them! Can't wait : )

  • I also heard from several people that their credit cards got charged with unauthorized charges-- this happened ~ 2 yrs ago but it's always better to be cautious.

  • I have one udder cover from them, one from Target, and one a friend made. Their covers are thin but perfect for where I live (SWFL...it's hot!!!). I used the homemade one and one by udder covers more than my target one. The Target cover was too thick and DS got so hot! It does the job and if you just pay S&H I think it's worth it.

Don't know much about the slings.

Edit - if you're going to use nursing covers you'll want more than one. They get spit up on and all that fun stuff. I also kept one in the diaper bag all the time.

  • I just ordered the sling with that deal based on the recommendation of a friend.  I have heard good things about the udder covers, but didn't care for any of the prints available so I held off on that for now.

  • I am not going to try the sling because I have a Balboa but I do have the udder cover and think it's pretty cute.
