Yesterday at a 1 YO's birthday party, we met a lady who has been in the home daycare business for over 25 years. She looked at DS (who was sleeping in my arms) and said, "How old is he? 6 months?" I said, "No, he's 3 months." She said that in all her years, she had never seen such a big 3 month old, and raved about how tall he is. I only have one other 3 mo. old to compare him to, at church, and he *is* a little smaller than C.
This whole thing cracks me up, because I'm 5'0" and come from a family of mostly short people. It's looking like DS may have gotten DH's genes in that department!

Re: Apparently my baby is a giant
We were in the Easter Bunny line behind a couple with an adorable baby who was much smaller than ours yet sitting up and holding toys and generally making me feel like my child was deficient. The mother turned around and said "Oh how old is your little guy?" I told her 10 weeks and she said "Oh." so I asked how old her LO was and she said "He's 6 months." I couldn't believe how annoyed she sounded.
At his 2 month appt Gideon was 24 and 1/2 inches long (90th percentile) and at a pedi appt on the 22nd (11 weeks) he weighed 15lbs 15.5 ounces (95 percentile).
I feel kind of bad for him because people think he is older and expect him to be able to do more
::dies:: Please, please take pics! LOL
I'm not sure exactly what he weighs, I'm thinking around 15.5 pounds right now. He was 12 lbs, 12 oz at his 2 month checkup. My first son was 14 lbs 15 oz at his 2 month checkup - my boys like hanging out at the top of the charts
Although now that my older son is 2.5, he's only in the 48th percentile for weight, so he leveled off quite a bit!
Ok so I am thoroughly confused at 2 months my LO measured 24" and they told me he was in the 50th percentile? Please explain

Wow, big babies! My LO is now 16 lbs and 27" long. I understand people thinking he's much older, too. Alot of guesses have been 5-6 months.
