Hey everyone! For those of you who have to use bottles... how do you warm them when you are on the go? For instance in a restaurant or anything like that? Im a new first time mommy.. and currently I feel like I have no clue how to go anywhere with DD because I have to stand in the bathroom sink and run hot water for what seems like a hundred years to get her bottle to a barely warm state!!
HELP!
Re: Warming Bottles....
This exact reason is why I never wanted to warm LO's bottle to begin with, but my mom insisted. When I'm out, I either: 1. Ask the restaurant for a cup with hot water (this is how we warm our bottle at home), 2. Give the room temperature bottle to LO as is, 3. Warm the bottle before leaving the house and put it into the insulated pouch in my diaper bag. When I give it to LO it is still usually warm.
I know they sell portable bottle warmers for the car, although one of my friends says they don't work well at all.
Sometimes I will give LO a room temp bottle at home to keep her used to not always having a warm bottle incase the situation arises when I'm out. It would be awful if she rejected it because it wasn't warm.
Mine does too. I have given her warmed bottles as well as room temp bottles. That way the temp will never be an issue when I'm out.
We had one for DD#1 & it didnt work...don't waste your $$!
Ask for a cup of hot water. Diaper bags with the insulated bottle pocket are great too!
This. I never warmed a bottle and DD takes them at room temp.
Thanks everyone.. heres another part to the question though... what if its formula. I do pump and give her that.. but I am currently having to supplment.. and I know that once you take the formula out of the fridge you are supposed to discard after an hour...
I didnt think that LOs would take formula cold.. so maybe I will have to try it at home like someone suggested and see what happens. I have just heard that it can cause tummy trouble for them to take cold!!
