I hate it. DS was up at 5:30 AM this morning, and is so off kilter that it is now 1 PM and he is showing no signs of sleeping - he is literally bouncing off the rails of his crib.
Even if he does sleep., by the time he gets up we won't be able to go to the park since sunset is basically 4:30 now..Boo - I am going to start a petition to have MA join Indiana and Arizona and do away with daylight savings.
Re: who else hates daylight savings?
Me.
5:30 is DDs normal wake-up time. This morning - 4 AM.
Elise, always charming.
DS was up at 5:30 today, too. DH got up and went to the gym, and then I went running when he got home. All before 7. Blech. He's finishing his lunch and starting to unwind for, what I hope to be, nap time. VERY soon. I need a break!
Christmas 2011
You take my ovaries, I take your yarns.
Just another example of whining about things you don't know the first thing about. If you are going to *** about stuff, you should know what you are talking about. It gets dark earlier in the fall/winter North America. It always has. It has nothing to do with daylight saving time.
That should read IN North America.
Here's what you all should do - go ROGUE and just stay on DST instead of going back to standard time.
Where I grew up (in Indiana) we changed time, but the rest of the state did not. We were considered the three rogue counties, LOL. People just set their clock to whatever worked for them. If they worked in Kentucky, they engaged in DST and changing time. If not, they referred to everyone who did do that as on fast time, and they were on slow time. Funny stuff.
Elise, get a grip.
eclaires - I am all for going rogue (dare I say, be a Maverick?). Maybe we will just be a rogue household. I'll see if I can get DH on board
What do you know? Some people can make daylight savings time dramatic.
Hilarious.

I think they recently lengthened the time we are on DST to help with energy costs - used to change in October, now it changes in November. I guess I don't know why we don't stay on it year round? Oh well, whatever.
Devon, you could totally be a Maverick. And if you get your H on board, you could be a Maverick-y household and be super rogue. LOL.
Ok, now I am just waiting for someone to come in this post to tell us it is technically daylight saving time, not daylight savings. A pox on all of you who add the extra S! It is SUPER important to not do so. lmao.
