so, as you have all probably heard, osama bin laden is dead.

well, because of that, all military and national defense agencies went on high alert due to the possibility of retaliation from al-qaeda operatives.

try reporting to a government building, thats on high alert, with a trunk full of bunker gear (firefighter uniform, including an ax, i didn't really think about.). i was supposed to be there by 5:30pm. i left at 4:40, got to the gate at 4:55, didn't get through the gat until 5:45. i feel like i was being interrogated for murder.

i had all my paperwork, all 3 id cards, and decals and permissive orders. but *sigh* security guards are never easy to deal with.

my poor husband, he was in the middle of making an awesome dinner when i got my page. he ended up sharing dinner with my niece, because my brother and dad had to report elsewhere on standby.

i wonder if i'll get my ax back?

Dealing with the government is never easy (I work for a federal contractor but it's fighting tooth and nail to get reimbursed by them too! lol). I hope things get better though.
