Birthday Party Location (((HELP)))

DDs 1st bday is in July and as we all know its hot as heck here at that time and an outside party is really not an option. I was thinking that a pool/water party or whatever would be fun but we wont really have many kids there, mostly adults, so i dont really think that will be fun. We were thinking of doing it at my SNLs house but I really really dont want to do it there and there will be alot of ppl coming so its just gonna be cramped.

Heres where you guys come in! =]   Im looking for some ideas of where to have an indoor party. Im in Surprise, but were open to a location anywhere really... well not anywhere, LOL the peoria, sun city, sun city west, glendale areas... nearish surprise.  I dont want to do like a peter piper or chuckie cheese because we wont have many kids so once again not sure how fun that will be.. but we may have to do that just for the A/C.   Just looking for some suggestions .. rooms i can rent? or just any place indoors that might work for a 1st bday party.

    Have you looked at any of the local hotels?  July rates are dirt cheap since nobody wants to be here and melt.  You can call and ask about a conference room and decorate it.  They would probably have some great deals on catering also. 

     

    I'm not a big fan of giant 1st birthday parties.  We always just do them at our house.

    Thanks! Maybe ill check that out.   I'm not really going for anything big either i just really dont want to be cramped in my SNLs house LOL and she has 2 cats that im like deathly allergic too so that would just make the whole day hell! haha. Thanks again for the idea!

    I agree with the hotel idea! We will be doing my shower at a hotel conf room. Alot of places let you bring your own food, cake, etc - which helps if you want to cater outside or do a pot luck style.

    Also, decorating is simple and you don't have to worry about child-proofing since it's usually a simple open room with high tables and chairs.

    You could always ask the hotel about rules and such but alot of times they will let you use a tv to run a slide of pictures of baby's first year, etc. Bringing in toys and such for other babies is easy too and you won't have the stress of worrying if you forgot something or lose something when you leave! Hope this helps a little.
