Fitness Friday Check-In (a day late)

Sorry ladies, yesterday morning I got sucked into the Royal Wedding, then had to run to a mediation (my very part time job).  I thought I'd change the format of the check in since not everyone is doing RI30 anymore....

What exercising did you do this week?  I continued with Jillian's 30 Day Shred.  I have all the exercises written down, so I can do it while watching the Today show.

What other habits are you trying to establish to get fit?  I counted calories this week using myfitnesspal.com. 

How do you feel?  I felt hungry sometimes this week.  Especially the day I ate through all my alloted calories by noon! 

Results?  I really felt like I looked good.  I'm loving the muscle definition, and love the way my clothes are fitting.  I had a reunion  with my law school friends yesterday and I felt good about how I looked.  I haven't weighed myself in two weeks, though.  I will weight and measure next Friday.

    Results? Beginning to feel good. Happier that I have a plan now.

    What exercising did you do this week?  I only made it to the gym two times. My goal is to go three times a week. Although I missed a day, I did do my two longest runs those days, so Im pretty happy with that. I ran three miles one day and four miles the other day. I also did strength training one of those days as well.

    What other habits are you trying to establish to get fit? I have been doing weight watchers for about 14 weeks now. I have lost 21 lbs but have been at a standstill with my weight loss for several weeks now. My goal is to lose another 15 lbs by July 9th.

    How do you feel?  I feel a little burnt out on WW but I know it works, so I really do need to stick with it. Im just so sick of feeling hungry all the time.

    Results?  Losing 21 lbs on WW has been awesome and I have been able to fit in to all my pre-Owen clothes. I am really happy with the definition in my legs from running but my arms need some major work. I dont know what else to do though...any suggestions?

  • What exercising did you do this week? I am doing her 6 Week 6 Pack and am on Week 1, Day 9 (taking Sunday's off).  Plus I run a mile on the treadmill afterward.  I love it, but I really, really hate mountain climbers and I'm not in love with the side planks.

    What other habits are you trying to establish to get fit?  Keeping track of my portions, watching the junk food, and most importantly, staying active.  I do a ton of squats while cleaning up most days...not only a great exercise but in my old age (32!) my back actually bothers me if I bend over too much:(

    How do you feel?  Pretty decent.  AF finally showed up but the symptoms have been hanging around for days.  I think the stress of the week really messed me up!  Otherwise I put on a pair of just washed jeans and they not only fit comfortably but they were also a little loose:)

    Results?  My measurements have been down, the scale is finally my friend and my favorite: I'm in workout routine again.  No matter how crappy my day is going, getting a good workout in makes me feel like I accomplished something!

    What exercising did you do this week?

    Intense cardio based on heartrate.  A lot of elliptical this week.  75 minutes per day Monday-Friday.

    What other habits are you trying to establish to get fit?

    I just started tracking calories again this week.  I'm trying to walk more and be active with DD although this week was pretty rainy.  I also gave up soda, caffeine, and alcohol a couple months ago.

    How do you feel?

    Pretty good.  This week has been really intense, so I'm pretty sore.  I am very proud of myself.  I also thought I did a really good job over Easter weekend of enjoying myself and the food without over indulging.

    Results?

    I'm down 6.4 lbs even after a holiday weekend.  I'm pretty close to being down a size.  I hate being in between sizes.  I can't find anything that fits.  I'm hoping to really see some results before a graduation I'm going to in about a month.  But my calves are looking fabulous.

    Consume fewer calories and of better quality 

    How do you feel?  

    I'm having an internal battle with some lifestyle changes I am trying to make. 

    Results? 

    Nothing yet - gotta do it consistently to see the results.  But here's to a new week!

    What exercising did you do this week?  I was sick all week - just coming out of it now.  I made it to the gym most days and did 40 minutes on the elliptical with some strength training too.

    What other habits are you trying to establish to get fit?  I actually took the plunge and got a personal trainer.  It's just 3x a month, but I can already see how it will help me.  My problem is I get too routine oriented with my strength training.  The personal training sessions actually take less time than what I was doing before, but I was definitely feeling it more

    How do you feel?  Now that I am finally at the end of my sickness, I am looking forward to another PT session and changing up what I do on the other days

    Results?  I didn't weigh myself because I was sick, but I definitely think the PT is going to help me get out of my rut.

    What exercising did you do this week?  I walk around my development while wearing DS every day it's sunny. Also have started doing pelvic tilts. I can't wait to get the OK from my OB to start really exercising again.

    What other habits are you trying to establish to get fit? I am eating super-healthy right now, and trying to drink more milk and water and cut out the soda and candy .

    How do you feel?  I feel like I could eat a gigantic peanut butter egg. I thought cravings were supposed to go away at some point? Other than that, I feel OK. Stupid allergies make it hard to breathe when we walk outside. So far, I've lost 30 lbs. of the 35 lbs. I gained during my pregnancy.

    Results? Only those 5 plus the extra 15 lbs. I would like to lose!
