baby bjourn worth the $$

how do the cheaper versions compare?  I have one but am considering returning it and using the cheaper infantino version- and using the credit from the baby bjourn for something else we need...I also have the moby but haven't used that one yet either... starting to leave the house a little so I want to start using one...

Re: baby bjourn worth the $$

  •  find i'm using thr baby bjorn more than the moby.  Used moby a lot the first 3wks cause it was cozier.  Now LO is 6wks and want to look around more. Moby is great and all but i have to untie and retie after 2 uses...bjorn is easier to put on and off i think.  Advantage to moby is you can do hip hold but lo is a bit young for that.

  • I have a bjorn, but I would say the snuggli's are just as good. I'd trade it in and use the credit to buy something else, but we've had ours for nearly 5 years. Wink

I've not used a Baby Bjorn so I don't have anything to compare to, but my Chicco brand does just fine and was half the price. I really like it and it's a life saver at times.

  • Bjorns are definitely not worth the $$.  I used one with DS1 and it killed my shoulders and back after a short time with him in it.  After that I found out that they aren't good for your baby anyway.  They dont support the baby in an ergonomic way for his hips.  If your LO will be spending a lot of time in a carrier you should invest in a good one for your sake and your LOs.  Look into the Ergo or Beco carriers.  If you want something inexpensive to just use occasionally then a cheaper version of the Bjorn is fine.

  • We bought the Bjorn Air gently used on Craigslist for $25 (it looks brand new). I think its worth every penny, but I wouldn't spend full price on it. I shouldn't have a problem getting the money back that I invested in it :)
