How many of these do you typically go through? I know part of that depends on how much you pump...but I plan on breastfeeding but also pumping after he eats so I can save up a stash. Should I just buy a box of 50 for now and get more later?
that's good to start with. They sell the storage bags everywhere... target, food store, drug stores etc... so if you need more, it's easy enough to pick up.

I think one box is fine to start. How many you need depends not only on how much you pump, but what portions you want to store in, as well. For example, you'll need many more if you freeze in 2 oz. portions as opposed to 6 oz.
Like pp, I really like the Lansinoh bags. You can get them on Amazon with Subscribe & Save for pretty cheap, too.
yep, start with one box and buy more later. lansinoh has been my favorite so far and i've only been at this for three weeks. they freeze flat and i like the way they pour. dd is in the nicu and i have to prepare bottles for her. one night i ran out and had to use my bags so i took it as an opportunity to figure out how the bags worked and which ones i liked best. i have lansinoh bags and nuk bags.
I agree with PP, one box is fine. I have found it hard to "build" my stash. I generally only get to pump on days that my LO isn't "as" hungry and I am engorged. Any other time, I end up pumping and shes extra hungry and I end up defrosting what I pumped. I have been using Lansinoh as well, no problems with leaking like everyone was telling me when I was registering.

Re: breastmilk storage bags
I think one box is fine. If you haven't used them before, you can't be sure that you like them and that's it worth spending the money.
FWIW, I liked the Lansinoh bags much more than the Medela bags.
GL!
