The ice cream man just went by and it made me think of my favorite treat when I was little. I can never find it now, so my super awesome DH is on a mission to find me one.
What was your favorite thing to get from the ice cream truck?
Mine was Bubble Play! Cherry flavored with a baseball gumball with something written on it, maybe it was possible to win another free ice cream on it? Maybe that's why I liked it, lol
EDIT: Maybe they don't have ice cream trucks everywhere, so if you didn't have a truck feel free to include one you got from the boring grocery store, lol

Me too!! Yum!
Definitely a screwball.
That is ok. I am a stronger adult for it...made me the person I am today, plus we made our own ice cream using:

These were my favorite!
The ice cream truck still comes around in my neighborhood, haven't stopped him yet though, I almost did the other day!
I prefered the italian ice truck to the ice cream truck, but unfortunately, ice cream trucks were more common. Screwball.

This totally brought back childhood.. I grew up in Chicago and summers were an ice cream truck musical. Now.. I live in a small town where they think ice cream trucks are only in movies..

In MA near the RI border, we had the Del's Lemonade truck. It's a frozen lemonade slush. I still remember sitting on the curb after dinner in the summer with my quarters. I think it was 50 cents for a cup. It's delicious! Just lemon and cherry flavors - the perfect cool summer treat. And it didn't play annoying music - just had a bell that clanged.
Hell yes! Gotta love the Choco Taco!
YUMMY!! They also sold these at the snack bar at the pool we went to when I was a kid. I could eat these everyday!
Mine was the Bugs Bunny pop ... or the Tweety one.
Yesterday I just did an ice cream social for children diagnosed with Autism and we had the local ice cream truck help out. It was such a blast from the past for me!
I don't remember having an ice cream truck in our neighborhood, but when we went to Daytona, there was one on the beach and I'd eat this:
Mother to DD, born sleeping on 9/28/11, and DS, born 3/12/13, 5lbs 13oz, 19in

I LOVED those!
These were my favorite too! I liked orange best.
Since I grew up in the UK, my favourite ice cream from the ice cream van was vanilla with a 99 flake...
Not sure if it's a Canadian thing, but we didn't have ice cream TRUCKS.... we had what we called "Dickee-Dee". He was either a boy or a man that would ride a bike through the neighbourhood selling ice cream from a cooler in the front of his bike. Did anyone else have Dickee-Dees??
My fave is the Bomb Pop!

Yes! And these:
Ok... this has nothing to do with ice cream... but you totally just brought back a crazy memory. My freshman year of college we would totally drink in the co-ed dorm I lived in. We would get whatever was left in the vending machine in the lobby of our building from the week to mix with whatever cheap, smuggled in booze we had. Tahitian Treat was usually one of the only things left, so we mixed it with EVERTHING.
Me (33). DH (37). DD (2.2012). MCs x4. After 4 years & 7 months, due 4.2018!
OMG I LOOOVEEEE THESE!! When DH and I first moved in together Good Humor was still making this variety of Fire Cracker but then they stopped. We would buy like 5 boxes at a time because I was so afraid they would stop making them again...and then they did stop
Now that I know Blue Bunny made them at one point I can try to find those, lol
Old school.
YES! These were my fave, and I would give anything to find them again! I also liked the Mickey Mouse ones, but the Fat Frogs were the best!!
