Back from doctor

He is going to test for my thyroid, HCG and Prolactin and does not think I have any ovarian cysts.  I was glad to hear about that.  He thinks it is probably stress and my new workout routine which has caused my period to be off this cycle.  Great it had to be off the minute we decide to TTC.  Anyway I made an appointment with the test center tomorrow morning and will get my blood drawn for the tests.  They did a pregnancy test and it was negative which I knew it would be.  He wants to do a blood pregnancy test but I know I am not pregnant.  I will await the test results next week and see what they say.  No sign of period at all I am still hoping it will come soon!

    Well at least you have a start and it does not seem right now you have anything to worry about. Good luck and I hopeyou get your BFP very soon!

    Good call on the thyroid check. ?My RE didn't test this, and my PCP just happened to as part of a routine check. ?Mine was WAY off. ?It makes me sick to think how many months of TTC were completely worthless without that knowledge!

    indianasunshine:  My doctor was surprised when I suggested to him about my thyroid but I had heard some girls had problems with TTC and their doctors told them it could be their thyroid.  I did some research and found out more about it and knew I wanted my thyroid checked right away.  I did not know that my SIL had thyroid problems as well which was causing her TTC problems as well once she got it regulated she finally got pregnant after 4 years of trying.  I think it is one of those things that is so overlooked and should not be since it governs so much of our bodies especially our cycles. 

    I did the tests the other day and the dang lady could not find a vein so she moved the needle around in my skin causing more pain and I wanted to start yelling at her to stop.  I just gritted my teeth and told her to try my other arm since that had good veins.  But she was determined and finally got some blood so my tests are off to the lab.  Next time I must remember my left arm has strong veins and to only offer that arm for blood from now on!  I keep on getting period-like cramps but no period.  It is so frustrating!  I am drinking more green tea and I forgot how much I loved green tea.

    Indianasunshine:  Hello!!  Yes she bruised my dang arm!  There is some nice purplish bruising around that area that I am hiding today.  Good news this morning after horrendous cramps the other day I finally got some light pink spotting this morning with a temp drop.  You should have seen me dancing around the bathroom this morning my cats were looking at me like I was crazy.  I hope this is my period and not some false alarm.  I am just so glad I got the testing done at least we will know that all my hormones and thyroid are working as they should.  My period taking it's slow time in coming but I am hoping it will come in full force later on today.  Once it is gone we can finally start the TTC process.  I will still keep on working out since I really do enjoy my workouts and they definitely help to relieve my stress. 

    Happy news today we ordered cookies for our office it is part of a charitable venture the money goes to expand our children's center on campus so it is for a really good cause and we get some good cookies for everyone!  What a nice way to start the week!  Hope you are having a great Monday!
