I've gone to the Dark Side

I've tried, I really have, but DD will NOT sleep well on her back.  I've noticed when its time for Tummy Time, she usually falls right to sleep.  So last night, as a last resort, I put her on her tummy when she wouldn't sleep, and she slept like an angel for 4 hours.

Today, when we visited Mom, I went and took a nap while Mom fed her.  Hours later, I wake to find Mom had had the same idea.  DD just looks so uncomfortable and is so unhappy when left on her back.

DD is almost 2 months now, and has been lifting her head really well since Day 1.  During tummy time (when she's awake) she moves her head from side to side with no problem.  DH isn't completely on board yet, but he's getting there.

  • We sometime put DD on her stomach when she's really fussy and won't fall asleep. She'll pretty much fall right to sleep when we do that.

DS sleeps better on his tummy. I do not feel bad about the change. Everyone sleeps so much better with him on his tummy.
