Weekly Workout Check In ???

I am stealing this idea from my old "home" board, but I think it will help me stay on track! Each weekend I will post a couple of questions about how your week has gone on terms of workouts, eating, weight loss, etc. I will include either a diet or exercise tip or link too. No need to sign up and each person can respond as she wants. Sound like something you would be interested in? I will start next weekend if several (at least) ladies are into it! TIA!

    I've already started exercising withYour Shape on the Wii I love that I don't have to leave home or have any special equipment and LO just sits in his swing or PNP will I get 15 minutes in.  

  • I'm totally in! I'm at 6 weeks this Sunday but snuck in a run this past week (got my BOB, couldn't wait!) and it was HARD. It's amazing how much endurance you lose! But having a place to check in will be great. I started tracking food/calories on MyFitnessPal and I love it. I lost about 100 lbs before getting pregnant on WW, and really wanted to try something new and MFP is a great FREE tool I'd highly suggest :) 

    I'm also curious to see how people fit in exercise and work. I start back next week (only PT though) and already have no idea how I'd do it. I'm up for the challenge!

  • Yes, I'm in!!  I just had my 6 week check up and got the clear... I can't wait to get started!  23 pounds to lose!  (that's 13 from pregnancy plus10 more)... I already lost 22.

  • I started at about 5 weeks and was eating healthy even earlier.  I've found that a lot of grilled chicken and lean beef over salad greens has reduced my appetite (as opposed to wanting tons of pasta and fried things), fruit shakes (keifer, skim milk, frozen berries, banana) jimmy dean turkey breakfast sandwiches, and turkey lunch meat with skim cheese wrapped in a low cal high fiber wrap mixed with walking and weights have made a huge difference.  Although last night I lost it and did have two small burgers, fries, 2 glasses and red wine and cookies... back to the gym today...
  • Oh- and keeping fresh, clean salad greens in the fridge and pre-cut veggies has also helped tremendously because it keeps it easy. 
  • I want to workout so bad, but my postpartum bleeding just will not stop.  It's sooooo annoying.  I feel like working out will just make it worse, so I'll continue to wait.  I'm at seven weeks, four days postpartum right now, and there are no signs that it's going to stop soon.  My OB said it could be 12 weeks postpartum before it's over.

  • I'm late to the post, but I'm in! With a toddler and a newborn, it's definitely hard to find time to work out. I'm going to eat better and take the girls on walks every morning...but totally easier said than done with a very high needs, fussy baby to consider.

    I have 18 pounds to lose (some preg weight and some extra pounds I want to target). I've lost 20 since the baby was born. But summer is around the corner!! We can do it ladies :)
