DD is a about 3 weeks old and lately (like this week) we've been noticing that shes been spitting up a lot more and is getting very fussy after feedings. Sometimes, especially after the evening feedings, she will be screaming/crying and its killing me because she just looks in pain. Today I got her down for a nap and literally about an hr after her last feeding I look over at her and she is spitting up through her mouth and nose. I felt so bad for her.
We've been trying to burp her religiously after feedings and keep her upright for a while longer but nothing seems to be working.
I keep thinking she has reflux. I wish the pedis office was open now but I guess I will have to wait until tomorrow. Does anybodys LO have reflux and does this even sound symptomatic?
Re: Spit up coming through nose? Reflux?
i think that she might,
the same thing happends with brayden (DS). he would get really fussy and spit up alot. and he it has came out his nose. and he also crys like he is in pain sometimes and it kills meto see him that way
so after taking him to the doctors over and over, we tried so many things just to see if he was lactose, and everything else but nope.. she gave him zantac (sp*) and it really really helps him.
so i went for a follow up and she said he has reflux. so i have to keep him upright as much as possible and i FF sometimes so i had to get a certain formula. and he seems to be doing much better. but he still gets the little fits were he crys like hes in pain but not like he used to.
hope this helped!
