CM stay sticky for? Does it gradually build up to the stickyness and the day of Ovulation it is the most stickiest, and then the next day after O it starts to go back? Or does the cm stay sticky for awhile during the process of the surge, and O???

last cycle i had sticky CM for a few days leading up to O. 1-2 days before it was watery and i had one day of eggwhite on the day of O. then it was watery for 2 days and turned creamy until AF. This cycle I didn't have much sticky CM, it was creamy for days and then Friday turned watery. It's still currently watery and I am waiting for EWCM since I *should* be ovulating today or tomorrow. It does hep! mine was really sticky on Friday eve and night, yesterday and last night not so much but def still sticky. Now i took an opk tuesday mid morning and it was possitive. could i have ovulated so late after a + opk? I have not starting charting or anything like that, This is my first month with all of this, i am very new to it, and i need provera to get my period, and i am clomid and metformin as well. I am just curious if i caught myself (friday when it was the stickiest) on my day of ovulation i guess?? does that make sence? sorry if i am rambling!?!

Sticky CM is the most infertile CM. If you have it, you're probably not ovulating. The only way to really tell is to take your BBT every morning at the same time and chart it. Click on my heart ticker to sign up for FF so you can chart your temps. I am using the Mabis brand BBT from Wal-Mart, so you could get that one. You just want to make sure you take it at the same time every morning before moving, talking, and after 3 hours of solid sleep to make sure it's the most accurate. I know it seems like a lot, but it's truly the only way to determine whether or not you're ovulating. I don't really get sticky CM. I get watery, creamy, and EWCM. I think sticky is just a combination of creamy and EWCM. Everyone's CM tends to vary significantly from one to another. GL

Most infertile? I was reading a website and I thought (unless i missunderstood) that when the cm is stretchy like that, that you are fertile, or about to ovulate, or ovulating. Was the website wrong? did i misunderstand?

If it's stretchy it is Egg White CM, not sticky. Sticky is usually very dry, and won't stretch on your fingers.

To answer your original question, I had 5 days of EW last month, with the most stretchy being on my O day. So I had two days building up before, then two days going back down after. It will vary a lot from person to person, and that was my first cycle charting, so it may vary a lot for me from month to month too. I just don't know yet.

When CM is stretchy and fertile, it resembles raw eggwhite and can stretch for a few inches inbetween your fingers. It's not called sticky at that point. Sticky CM doesn't really stretch. If you have CM that's stretchy and clear/white then you probably have EWCM which is what you want! If you have it then go get humping

Yay!! Yes sorry! Wrong verbage lol. I meant stretchy. Yeah we have been bd'ing since the + opk on tuesday. tues wed. skipped thurs and friday is when i got the ewcm so friday and night and saturday night we bd'd as well! should we also monday night just in case??? I mean it can't hurt right??? lol
