Nervous but optimistic introduction...

We got to see the heart beat for the first time in our ultrasound this week, and I think that's what made me feel safe enough to finally post. I'm really hoping we get to take this baby home with us.

    congrats on the pregnancy and on seeing the heartbeat.  I cried when I saw my LO's heartbeat this time.  It's a great milestone.

    You know for some weird reason it wasn't even the heartbeat that was the most emotional for me. This was the first time I ever got to see an ultrasound of a uterus that wasn't empty, and I didn't ever expect to see LO's face at so early in the game. My husband and I were definitely really emotional about that. It still kind of blows my mind. It doesn't show up as well in the pictures I have as it did on the screen, but man. A face! Smile

    Congratulations!! I'm sure we all understand the nervousness - I'm still a little worried - our heartbeat u/s is coming up on Friday. Definitely hope you have a healthy nine months and a beautiful, healthy, happy baby!!!
