Pregnant after a Loss

The name "Zee"

I know it's crazy, but DH and I are already talking about names for baby #2 when we have one in a few years. He is thinking of girl names, and said he likes the name "Zee Gabrielle". I am thinking about this, and am not sure. It's cute, but do you think it sounds a little made up?

I like it for a child's name, but not sure about her being an adult named Zee. Hmmmmm.....

I wanted the name Brie, but he throw that one out.?

What do you think??

Re: The name "Zee"

  • Zee imo does sound a little made up.  It just different and not my cup of tea.  I do like gabrielle though.  Maybe you can do Gabrielle Zee.  That way you get to use the name but it avoids any Q's about it.

  • It is not my style- I think people will costantly ask if it's short for something.  But, if you love it- that's all that matters for your hypothetical child :)

The problem with Gabrielle as the first name is our last name is 4 syllables and is a really long Polish name that ends in "ski". Otherwise, I totally would.

I dunno...I think it will be Brie Gabrielle and he can just suck it up. After all, Quentin's middle name is DH's first name, so I should be able to choose child #2's name. ; )?

  • It sounds like a nickname for something else.  Are there any names you like that start with a Z that you could name her and use this as a nickname?  That way, she has an option to be called her full name when she's older.

We like Zalynn and Zanah. That is a good option. "Zee" as her nickname. Thanks for the suggestion!?

  • I think pick whatever you want! A girl I work with is thinking of names for their second child that they're TTC and the boy name is Oz and the girl name is Quinn.  It's definitly a different name (I think you hear it more for a boy), but I say go for it if it's your style!
